Andrew School is a kindergarten to grade twelve school that is located approximately 100 km north east of Edmonton.
Principal Message - Mr. M. Lastiwka
As the 2009-10 school year comes to a close, I am amazed by how quickly this year has gone by. It seems like it was not that long ago that we were celebrating our high school graduation and we are already looking forward to our 2010 high school grad on September 11, 2010.
The end of this year is a little bitter sweet as we must say goodbye to Ms. McTurk, Mr. Putnam and Ms. Tichkowsky. We are looking forward to welcoming back Mrs. Serediak, who will be teaching the grade 3/4 class and Ms. Nobes who will be teaching grade 5/6 class and also be our special needs facilitator.
Ms. Nobes is very excited about joining the Andrew School staff. She has two greyhounds, a horse, a cat and twin sons, aged 22 all of whom live in Edmonton. Her favourite activities (besides teaching and learning) include downhill skiing, riding her horse, dog walks, reading mysteries.......and deep water aqua fit!
Ms. Nobes would like the grade 5/6 class to get ready for a great year and she will see you in the fall!
Our office for new registrations will open on August 25thand the first day for students is August 30th.
I hope you all have a fun, safe and restful summer and I look forward to seeing you all in the fall.
Andrew School Athletic Program picks garbage on 80 km of highway - makes over $4200
Thank you to all the student athletes for all their hard work on Saturday, May 1st as they trekked 80km total in the Alberta Highway Clean up, making over $4200 for the Athletic Program and showing the community and county what Andrew School students are all about.
Also a great big thank you to the adults who lent a hand this weekend, teachers Miss McTurk, Mrs. Tirschmann, Miss Sorotsky and Miss Shepherd, EA Sylvia and Lincoln, parents Dave Andreychuk, Colleen Mascher, Donna Zabel, Cheryl Bodnarek, Rick and Lillian Ostashek, Wendy Hennig and Tammy Pranger. Without them the weekend would not have been the success it was.
Athletics Bus Gets Athletic
The Athletics Bus has been given a facelift. Thanks to Gary and Barpek Products the Wildcats Bus is now just that. The Andrew School athletics logo now appears on the rear of the bus, with "Andrew School Wildcats" emblazoned on the side.
